One of my favorite off-the-beaten-track New York buildings; unless you're walking very slowly down Liberty Street and paying close attention to architectural details, you'll miss this little jewel. Now home to a set of Asian banks, it was initially home to the NYC Chamber of Commerce--one of those quaint 19th-century civic ideas that has probably outlived its usefulness. But it was a nice thought. Here's more on the building, including pictures of three original statues that used to be below the circular windows. Well, at least the building itself is still there...
