Chateau as firehouse? Firehouse as chateau? Whatever! It's Napoleon LeBrun, so that means it's a classic--he designed over forty buildings for the NYFD, as well as several churches and temples both in New York and Philadelphia. Now home to the Downtown Community Television Center (check out their events), it's a nice little surprise while walking down this rather desolate (in terms of people) stretch of Lafayette Street in TriBeCa. Them rich folks don't really hang out on the streets, do they?
