Lever House

Lever House

1952

Architects: Gordon Bunshaft and Natalie de Blois

Address: 390 Park Avenue, Manhattan

Lever House is the gift that keeps on giving. No matter the weather, the angle, the time of day, the parked cars, or any other NYC detritus that may be hanging around the site, Lever House’s understated elegance of design is a sight to behold. I love the green colors during the day, the lighting pattern at night, the partially-covered outdoor plaza, and I’m still hoping i can get to the in-house restaurant, Casa Lever, someday. I considered several angles for this shoot but I was able to set up looking north, above street level, at Seagram Plaza (thanks Mies!); I was pretty happy with the result.
