Architect: McKim, Mead & White, Polshek Partnership
Address: 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn

Stretching forever along Eastern Parkway, The Brooklyn Museum has been hanging around for over a hundred years--and like everyone else, I ignored it completely until its landmark "Sensation" show in 1999. Then--again like everyone else--I realized its permanent collection (especially of Hudson River School art, and Judy Chicago's stunning Dinner Party), and future rotating exhibits (including its brilliant Ai Weiwei and El Anatsui shows), kept bringing me back--through James Polshek's postmodern entrance fronting the museum. Fortunately my Sony 10-18 super-wide angle lens is just super-wide enough to get the whole thing in from across Eastern Parkway. I was glad was able to shoot this during the Georgia O'Keefe show, again one of my favorite exhibitions that the Museum has mounted. Ah, Brooklyn...
